Flower care guide
Fresh flowers are living things. With a little attention they'll last significantly longer than most people expect — here's how.
Packaging
Unwrap carefully
Gently remove your flowers from their wrapping and discard any remaining water or gel. All of our packaging is fully recyclable and plastic-free, helping to reduce environmental impact.
Cut
Give them a fresh start
Rinse the stems in clean water, then trim around an inch from each stem at a 45° angle. This improves water uptake and helps flowers stay fresh for longer.
Vase
Prepare the vase
Always use a clean vase — bacteria can shorten flower life. Change the water every two to three days, clean the vase, re-trim the stems, and refresh the flower food.
Water
Use fresh water
Fill a clean vase with lukewarm water and add the flower food provided. Avoid very hot or cold water — lukewarm water supports hydration and longevity.
Leaves
Remove any leaves below the waterline
Remove any foliage that sits below the waterline. Submerged leaves can encourage bacterial growth, which shortens the life of your bouquet.
Sun
Choose their spot carefully
Place your flowers in a cool, shaded spot, away from direct sunlight, radiators, and draughts. Consistent temperature helps extend freshness and vase life.
